Rohan is a junior at Claremont McKenna College studying History and Economics. He grew up in Bangalore, India, and spends his time writing non-fiction, tinkering with film projects, and trying out new board games. He is passionate about film, international politics, and obscure history trivia. On campus he has been involved with research on India and security policy, and the Open Academy to foster dialogue on pressing issues.

Why I’m excited to join Optimist as a Creative Fellow:
I first came across Optimist when I watched Living on One Dollar in Microeconomics, and was deeply inspired by Optimist’s commitment to impactful storytelling, as well as their contributions to the communities that they were a part of. I want to combine my interest in writing and storytelling with opportunities to enhance social impact, and I believe Optimist is the perfect place to do so.
